What to expect
Your portrait session will include a variety of poses, locations, expressions and outfit changes based on which session you've chosen. Our Simple and In-Style Sessions will have a single photographer and our Trendsetter and Top Model Sessions include our photographic team. But don't worry, no matter which session you chose, we'll guide you every step of the way, and if you have ideas of your own, let us know! We'll incorporate those too.
First, there are a few questions almost everyone has...
What photographer will I be working with?
George and Gail Lucozzi own and operate Lucozzi Portraits, and have been working together since the 90s. This dynamic duo of award-winning photographers work together, and with you, to capture your essence and a variety of looks for your portfolio. Learn more about George and Gail by clicking here.

What About the Weather?
Since we have a studio, we very rarely reschedule for weather reasons. Our indoor studio space is full of dynamic areas that will allow us to still capture and create interesting and fun portraits for you no matter what is happening outside.
So if its:
☁️ Cloudy? Great!. .. we actually LOVE clouds! They'll add dimension to your portraits.
🌤️ Overcast? No worries! Now we don't have to be concerned about squinting or harsh shadows. And we can even make your portraits look bright & sunny!
⛈️ Raining? Most showers come & go very quickly, but if it looks like non-stop rain just give us a call and together we can decide whether we should reschedule your session. Keep in mind that we have lots of cool options inside. More often than not, we will keep your session, photograph inside and if we really still want a little bit outdoors to add to your session, we can simply schedule an additional 15-20 minutes when the weather is better--there is no additional fee if we decide this is the way to go.
❄️Snow or Sleet? Oh goodness! We will make a game day decision with your safety in mind! But, if the roads are good, how cool would pics in the snow be?!? EPIC!
🌧️ Raining when you arrive? Just call us (best number day of is 978-430-6032) and we will meet you at your car with an umbrella. ☂️
Where Do I Park?
We put a map link above for your convenience but watch this clip to familiarize yourself with our studio and where to go when you arrive...

Then What Happens?
Once you arrive, George or Gail will greet you and go through all the things you've brought along. Then we'll get started and have some FUN!
We'll walk all around the studio and grounds and pick spots to photograph based on your clothing, your preferences and the lighting. We will help you with how to pose and which outfit to wear when. We even have a pop up tent for clothing changes outside and hopefully you've brought Mom, Dad, a sibling or a friend to keep you company (they're also great for holding the tent in place! 😉)
But, before all that, let's make sure you're prepared...

Be Prepared
Because you’ll want to look and feel your best:
💇🏽 Get a haircut 10-14 days before your session.
😴 Get a good night's sleep the night before
😎 Avoid the sun for a couple days
💧HYDRATE! Your skin will thank you!

What to Bring
All the things for touch ups:
HAIR, BEARD & ACCESSORIES
📏 A comb or brush and any product you might use...
🧔🏽Some guys have opted to come with stubble and then shave to add a clean look
🧢 Belts, shoes, hats, jackets, class ring if you have one and then any sports gear or hobby stuff.
CLOTHES
👖Yeah, you're gonna want to have some options! Make a sure to iron anything that needs ironing and then be sure to bring those items on hangers! Bring something dressy, something casual, something fun! Bring layers (jacket or flannels are popular) and at least four options (hey but not all the same shirt in difficult colors or the same color in different shirts--change it up!).
See more about what to wear below.
PROPS & PAPARAZZI
🏀🎨🎸🛠️Bring all the things...Sports uniforms & equipment, Cheer uniform & pompoms, your dance shoes and costumes, your artwork & tools, any musical instruments, your favorite book(s), anything you collect. Heck, you can even bring cars 🚗, 🚲 bikes. Anything you bring will can add visual interest and personality to your portraits!
👏👥🐶We love parents, and no worries, if they get unruly (lol) we will just put them to work! But also, having a friend around for support is fun, and can help you relax in front of the camera. We can even snap a photo of the two of you together at no extra charge! You can even bring your pet (but let's talk first).
What to Wear
If you want a timeless portrait that will still be stylish 25 years from now, here are a few things you can wear to achieve that goal!
Think about the colors you see in nature such as TANS, BLUES, GREENS, MAROONS, GREYS and work in those palettes. BLACK & WHITE is great too. Our grounds range from natural to industrial so both lighter and darker colors are great. Solid colors will almost always be your best choice and we generally avoid plaids or shirts with large patters; BUT, if you wear plaid all the time, if its your thing, bring it with you. Just bring some non-plaid too. Its important to select clothes that compliment your body and style.
Also great...LAYERS! 🧥 Jean jackets, Letterman's, sweaters, leather , even your plaid-these add dynamic interest and style.
👖 Jeans, pants and even shorts that coordinate with your tops are also very important. Make sure they fit well - practice sitting on the floor or crouching in them to make sure you're comfortable--we will have you moving around! And don't forget about fun and coordinating accessories like belts, footwear (we will include your feet in just a few shots) and jackets. 👞
For your folks 👥... Be sure to bring something your parent(s) or Grandma loves to see you in (it will make them so happy and come on, its a small give on your part).
For your school 🏫... Make sure you bring some things that adhere to your school's rules about clothing - we've seen some rules such as no hats, no sleeveless shirts, and even no ripped jeans too. 🚫 You can certainly wear these items at your session, but we need to make sure we have images that will meet your yearbook requirements, too.
Arrive wearing your favorite, most comfortable, most flattering pair of jeans, and bring a variety of tops as as outlined above to go with them. We have a portable changing booth so no problem changing while we are out and about.
to recap
-
Bring a variety of looks (casual, formal, comfortable, fun)
-
Remember to Iron
-
Bring a variety of colors AND styles
-
Layers are great
-
Stick to solid colors but if patterns are your thing, bring one or two in addition to your solids
-
Bring sports stuff, musical items, formal attire, something outrageous or fun!

After Your Session
What's Next?
A week or so after your session, we will meet you and your parents at the studio for your View & Order Appointment. At this appointment, you will see your images, pick your favorites, select your yearbook image and place your order. View & Order appointments generally take an hour and a half and all decision makers need to be present.
During this appointment, Gail will guide you through the entire process, show cropping options, talk about retouching, and help you select the right products for the images you love. There are endless options, we've got prints, books, blankets, collages, grad cards, and yes, we have even added options for bundles of digital files!
To make this process even easier for you, we've invested in software that will show how portraits will look in your home. All we need are some pictures of your walls with a regular sheet of paper taped to it!
FYI - Once your yearbook image is selected, we'll get it into retouching and, when it is ready, we will submit it directly to your school.

Product Guide
Senior Portraits are a big deal.
It's an opportunity to commemorate and celebrate your senior's high school experience, their personality, their fashion sense. This is an iconic time balanced carefully between childhood and adulthood. We're going to have a great session that captures who they are, who they have been and you might even get a glimpse of who they are becoming, so take a moment to consider the end result you'd like to see from the images you're having created!
Wall Art
Imagine an iconic wall portrait or collage somewhere in your home that will stop you in your tracks the day that you're missing them so much...
Digitals
We've added Digital Bundles to our product line so you can select your favorite 5, 10, 20 portraits and have your own printable files.
Albums
You're going to love a LOT of images (sorry - not sorry 😉) so you might want your images in a storytelling format or just a handy way to look back on the experience when the mood strikes, and as a keepsake for the future grandkids to look through and see how much they look like their mom or dad.
Headshots
As your senior dips their toe into the world of 'adulting' - they'll need a headshot for profile pics and applications for ALL. THE. THINGS. A headshot should project personality and confidence.
Grad Cards
Custom-designed invitation, announcements and thank-you cards to allow your family and friends to celebrate the big event with you.
Setting a Precedent
If this is your first senior, consider that you're setting a standard for all the siblings, too. Think long term what your home will look like after the last one has graduated and you have portraits on the wall and albums to look through.
Sibling Rivalry???
Did you have a previous senior photographed elsewhere? Are there missed images that you wish you got from that session? Let's talk!

see it before you buy it!
At your View & Order appointment, I will show you what your portraits will look like on the wall in your home so you'll know exactly what you're getting - and be confident in your decision that you got exactly what you wanted!
The only thing you need to do is snap a few phone pics of your walls (and surrounding area for context) and text it to Gail before your appointment. Watch this short video for a demonstration-
Even if you think you don't want a wall portrait, send a photo of the space where you'll be displaying your photos - such as in a bookcase or on a mantle..
